TIPD has six committees working to achieve the Division's mission to promote awareness and action on Tribal and Indigenous planning issues for Tribal and Indigenous planners, peoples, nations, and their non-Tribal partners.

Tribal and Indigenous Membership Recruitment

The guiding principle of TIPD is to "ensure sufficient membership of individuals who personally identify as Tribal or Indigenous and shall strive to include individuals who also identify as other People of Color and individuals from all sexual orientations and gender identities."

National Planning Conference

TIPD strives to support its members in presenting and attending Tribal- and Indigenous-focused sessions at the annual National Planning Conference. This committee will also coordinate opportunities for members to gather in person at NPC.

Communications & Outreach

This committee works with the Executive Council and other committees to share information and resources with Division members and other interested parties through the website, newsletter, and other digital and in-person methods.

Annual Planning & Governance

This committee assists the Executive Council to update and implement the Division's work plan and Bylaws.

Knowledge Building & Sharing

This committee enables members to share and co-create knowledge within and beyond APA.

Scholarships & Awards

TIPD provides financial support to its members through scholarships and awards in accordance with the Division's budget and work plan.
